ABOUT ALEX

Alex Isaak is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she works in The University of Tulsa’s Office of Strategic Marketing and Communication. On top of her full time job, Alex is a freelance writer for The Pickup and serves as Board Secretary and Marketing Director for Tulsa Shakespeare Company.

She’s had a varied trajectory to get to this point. Previously, she managed events, marketing and media relations at the University of Tulsa’s Oklahoma Center for the Humanities. Before that, she spent nearly four years at KOTV - News On 6, the #1 broadcast news station in the market. Her work as a broadcast producer earned her several awards, including two Heartland Emmy awards and two Regional Edward R. Murrow awards.

Because of this experience, Alex has a vast knowledge of the media industry from every angle, making her an asset for any marketing and communications team.

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Alex also has worked for the BBC, TEDx, FleishmanHillard and NASA Johnson Space Center. Outside of her work, she enjoys hikes, performing in local community theatre shows, listening to live music and playing Dungeons and Dragons with her friends.
